Dr. Schoen received his D.V.M. from Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 1978. He also holds a Master's Degree in neurophysiology and animal behavior from the University of Illinois.
In 2010, Dr. Schoen received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions in Veterinary Acupuncture, from the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture. In 2016, Dr. Schoen was recognized as one of the 15 most influential veterinarians for his contributions to the advancement of veterinary medicine. He is the author of “Veterinary Acupuncture: Ancient Art to Modern medicine.”
