Dr. Schoen received his D.V.M. from Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 1978.  He also holds a Master's Degree in neurophysiology and animal behavior from the University of Illinois.      In 2010, Dr. Schoen received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions in Veterinary Acupuncture, from the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture.
